Decoding The Strangest Dog Behavior And Habits
Dogs have proved to be the best companions for humans, with a long history of domestication, and yet, we are often surprised by dog behavior. Here are some fun and strange behavioral patterns explained.
Snacking on poop
The most annoying thing that you can find is your dog eating its own poop! Don’t be surprised because it’s quite normal. Dogs were born in the wild and were like scavengers. Poop may be not be your pooch’s favorite, but most dogs snack on feces at some point.
Hating other dogs
This is yet another normal behavior, especially in dogs that have grown up around humans and haven’t been socialized with other dogs. Consider getting him trained, because that’s a behavior that can change with time and some guidance.
Running behind his tail
Unless your dog has serious issues, sudden running behind his own tail is quite normal and a way to spend the unwanted energy. Your dog probably needs more exercise, but if he does that often, consult a vet for knowing if it’s a disorder.
Humping on other dogs and objects
It’s surprising to discover that even spayed and neutered dogs hump on objects, people’s legs and even on other dogs. Don’t worry as your dog may not want to mate, but it might just be the trick for some attention and showing dominance. If your dog humps unexpectedly at wrong places, stop him right away with a treat, toy or let him fetch his toy.
