Which pet you should have if you have a small child
Having a child is the best thing that can happen to you. But, you or your kid may want to have a pet eventually. If you have grown children, then you can choose any pet you want, but if you have a child younger than 8 years, you may think again before you bring home a new family member. As you can assume, having a snake isn’t recommended. Snakes aren’t dangerous for your child. Actually, because they are small and they are in a cage, they can be safer than other pets. But, they look like no other animal, so your child may develop nightmares or fear from them!
Having a fish is a better solution, but there is one thing you should be concerned about. Your child is curious, so he may want to touch a fish or reach it. If he breaks the tank, he may cut himself on broken glass, so pay attention. Still, the best pets are puppies and kittens. Because they are small, they will grow together with your child. This will make a bond between them, so eventually, they will become best friends. It sounds nice, but it requires more effort from you. You must provide vitamins and regular baths for your pet. If you don’t, his fur will be in bad shape, and you don’t want your child to breathe in some hair!
You also must pay attention to the behavior of your puppy or a kitten. Maybe he can be aggressive sometimes, so your child can be bitten or scratched. Give a few lessons to your small pet and your child will be safe.
